Cookie Policy

The short version

This site's own code sets no cookies - not a session cookie, not a preference cookie, none. This site does use Google Analytics, which sets a small number of cookies of its own, listed in full below. No calculator input (your birth date, time or place) is ever stored in a cookie or anywhere else.

Why this site's own code has nothing to store

Every calculator recomputes its result fresh, in your browser, from whatever you type into the form at that moment. Nothing about a previous visit, a previous calculation, or a language preference is remembered between visits, so there has been no reason for this site's own code to introduce a cookie or any other browser-storage mechanism (it also does not use localStorage or sessionStorage) to carry information forward.

Third-party cookies: Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) on every page to measure aggregate traffic, loading it only once you interact with the page or after a short delay. Google Analytics sets its own cookies - typically named _ga and _ga_<container-id> - which store a randomly generated identifier used to distinguish one visitor's browser from another between pageviews. These cookies do not contain your name, your birth data, or anything else typed into a calculator. Google's retention and use of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can block or delete these cookies through your browser's settings, or opt out of Google Analytics specifically with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, without losing access to any calculator on this site. No advertising cookie, and no third-party script other than Google Analytics, runs on this site.

If that changes further

Should a future version of this site add another cookie-setting script, this page will be updated first, with a plain description of exactly what is stored and why, before that change ships.
