Why this site exists

Most free birth chart tools online either hide their calculation method entirely or get the underlying astronomy visibly wrong: a house system silently mislabeled, a birth time misapplied across a daylight-saving boundary, planetary positions that drift further from the true value the further back or forward from the present the birth date sits. Natal Calculator exists to do the arithmetic properly, in the open, and to keep the tool free rather than gating the results behind an account or a payment.

Editorial standard

Every factual or technical claim on this site, whether an accuracy figure, a definition or a described method, is written to be individually correct and checkable, not written to read persuasively. Where this site is uncertain or a value is a stated convention rather than a settled fact (an orb size, a house-system default, a coined term for a concept with no single fixed name), it says so rather than presenting a choice as the only possibility. The full technical account of how the calculators themselves work (which ephemeris, which ayanamsa, what precision to expect) is kept on a dedicated page rather than folded in here, so it can be as specific as a skeptical reader deciding whether to trust the output actually needs: see methodology.

On privacy, briefly

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. No birth date, time or place is ever sent to a server, stored in an account, or written to a database anywhere. The full, specific statement of what that means is kept on the privacy policy, since that is the page a legal reading of this claim belongs on.

Site policies
